I have a small office lan that was running an access 2000 database/front-end. Some of the computers got upgraded and included Microsoft Office 2003. When loading my front end, I am unable to open any of the reports in the front end. This does not work even after I convert it to the 2002/2003 format. When I try to open the same reports from an OpenReport command I get the "OpenReport action Cancelled" error message. I have another computer we upgraded a few months back that also has Office 2003 and it does not have this problem with access 2003. I have tried re-installing the whole thing but it happens the same way every time. What could be causing this? I am able to retrieve all of the data in the database through my front-end forms, but even from the report view pane, I cannot even look at the design view of any of my reports. Any thoughts?

From what I can work out this is a problem with profiles under XP. There is a thread with a work around here thread68-874445. There is still no answer but at least this might help.

I came across this problem about a week ago. I had designed a database with all the appropiate front end forms and reports. Worked perfectly for me on WinXP running 0ffice 2000 and worked perfectly on two WinXP running Office 2003 and also on Win2000 machine using Office 2000. The problem arose when I was asked to get the database working on a Win2000 machine which was recently upgraded to Office 2003.

Went on the web and found this profiles solution that was been banded about.
Didn't work but what I had notice that I set the default printer to my printer a Samsung CL500 I would get the OpenReport cancelled as if I set the default printer to the Microsoft Office Image Document (or whatever its real name it) then the report would appear and I could then go in to File->Print and pick of my Samsung printer and Voilá the report was there.

This is a really long winded way of saying
Set your default printer to Mircosoft Image Document thingy
Open your report
Go to File->Print and choose your printer.

Try this what have you got to lose.
I hope it will help.
