I doenloaded the open ldap for windows and just did default install I can use a gui to add users but if i try to search using ldapsearch via command line it throws me an error

version: 2

#
# filter: '(objectclass=*)'
# requesting: ALL
#

# search result
search: 2
result: 34 Invalid DN syntax
text: invalid DN

# numResponses: 1

based on the error provided, youre DN path is either missing or incorrect (looks to be missing). can you provide the exact command that is failing with this error?

for instance, if this were AD, I'd query using ldifde like this:

ldifde -d "DC=domain,DC=com" -f c:\output.txt

This is just a very basic query there, but gives the idea :)
