Opening xls from a different version of Excel

Hi

I'm wondering how to cope with the question
given by Excel to recalculate the formulas in
the opened .xls (happens when an Excel workbook
is opened by someone with a newer version of Excel).

Do I have to remove alerts and open the file
or is it some way to open the file and
answer the question or ignore it?
