User has new WIN2K pc with Lotus Millenium. Cannot open older .wk4 files. The error is:
Error reading file.
Do the following:
Check to be sure that you are not opening a 0 byte file.
Free memory by closing files and applications that you are not using.
If necessary, have the file transmitted using a communications protocol that does not change the file size.

The first 2 are not the problem. The 3rd I am not sure about. I do know that this only happens when opening the file from a network drive. If copied locally to the drive the file opens ok. We use novell client to logon on a novell server using IP. Any ideas?

chipb43,
I found the same issue. One work around is to try another drive letter to access the files. For example. My .wk4 files were on the P:\ drive, but when I use f:\ drive, they opened fine. My guess is we are dealing with a path or rights issue with the client32. I would wait for a new Novell Client32 release. If I get past this, I will reply again.

New finding!
Novell released a patch to the client32 version4.83. You can go to support.novell.com and download the file "NT483PT1.EXE". I applied this patch and it solves the problem.
