My daughter has recieved photos emailed from a friend in canada in TIFF format. When I try to open in Photoshop 6 i get the errror message TIFF uses unsupported color space.
Anybody know how to open - Thanks
Did you use color managing when you first installed photoshop? Could be your color matching system, doesn't support the colors used in the file??? Don't know, also don't know how to correct it. You could always re-install photoshop, then choose not to color manage, when photoshop starts for the first time, or say yes, but don't change any settings, and just press ok.

tell her to zip and re-email the files. that usually does the trick. also try the open as... command. BEHOLD! As Steve Jobs introduces us the latest in desk-lamp technology!
Open the file with word pad, and check the header and info that is embedded there.. you may find some clues as to the true format. This file may not be a real TIF. Was it renamed by any chance? When in doubt, deny all terms and defnitions.
