Strange problem. I have tried resetting and deviating the associations first, I have also tried clearing the Temporary Internet Files, to no avail.

I have found the following behaviour:
also clrearing of the Temporary Internet Folder, to no avail.

When recieved, you can open the file in to an editor/viewer but there is no image displayed.

If you save it to the desktop, it has a size of 0bytes.

If you forward it, when you go into "sent mail" and try and open it from the sent message, it opens the editor but doesn't display an images.

If you try and forward the original email, but without sending it, open the attachment in the message you are "about to send" (so still in edit/compose mail), then the file opens fine, displaying the image.

Any input would be muchly appreciated.

Regards

I think there are some options regarding actually storing attachments with the emails they are sent with. Is it possible that this is the cause?

I'm assuming this is in Outlook? If so, what version? Is it on an Exchange Server, or IMAP or POP3? What version of Windows? I know there are some different options with IMAP, but I'm not 100% sure whether any of them would cause this specific scenerio.

Also, have you tried this on different computers, or just one? Are they all using the same version of Office/Windows?

They are running in Exchange (Not Cached) mode and all users are having the same problem.

Windows XP SP3
Outlook 2003 SP3

Anybody any ideas? I'm going to switch the account into Cached mode tonight, see if that has any effect. There doesn't seem to be any problems on the server though.
