How can I open a Powerpoint file from HTML? If I just link to it with an HREF it displays a bunch of gibberish similar as to if I opened it in a text editor. And yes, Powerpoint is installed.

Ideas? Thanks in advance.

I am not sure what the problem is. When I click on a Word, Excel or PowerPoint file that I have linked in my page, it usually opens right up in Word, Excel or PowerPoint (or after asking in Netscape).

Do you have a self-contained presentation? Are you trying to kick that off? If that is the case, I will check for a snippet of code.

Have you tried saving the presentation as HTML and dropping it into your website?

Nah, it's a straight up link to a PPT file. Odd...when I take it off the Mac server and put it on a Microsoft-based server, it works fine.

How shocking...
