Hello,

I was wondering if additionnal ports need to be opened on the pix in order to have drive and printer mappings work properly when connecting with TS. Currently I only have port 3389 open and TS works fine but sometimes in some environments (don't have the details sorry), the drive mappings and printer mappings don't alway work. We are connecting using to TS to W2K Server, W2K Pro, XP Home and XP Pro on the host side and any other Microsoft OS (above 98) on the client side.

Thanks
anthony

What drives and printer mappings are you talking about ? are you just mapping some drives and printers on the server from some ressource on your network ? in that case nothing need be done.

I'll try to get more info but from what I understand, my collegue is trying to print on his local printer when he's in his TS session onto the server. Let's say he's opening a word file in TS, he would like to be able to print onto the local printer at his place. Eventhough the drivers for the local printer are installed on the server, it works for some of our clients and not others (for different companies).

Thanks
anthony

Hmm, i would think that all mappings of local devices to the TS would be done through the client ie. port 3389

That's what I and a collegue was thinking but for some odd reasons, it doesn't always work :(

Step 1. Verify all your users are running the correct login script. Seems simple, many time overlooked.
