opening pdf from internet

User had Adobe 3.0 Reader and Adobe 4.0 full version installed on pc. When trying to open a pdf file off of the internet (IE 6.0), it was opening Adobe 3.0. He wanted this file opened in Adobe 4.0, so he simply removed the Adobe 3.0 program from the pc. Now when he tried to open the pdf's from internet, it is still looking for 3.0 and will not open. We have tried changing his file associations to adobe 4.0, but still no luck. Files that are pulled directly from hard drive will open in 4.0, but internet files will not. Any ideas??

try to delete all 3.0 and 4.0 then reinstall 4.0

Thanks for the tip, but we have fixed the problem by downloading Adobe 5.0 Reader. I don't know how or why this fixed it, but the user says it did??
