Hi there,

I have a computer with Access 2007 on it. I'm unable to open up an application that was created on Access 2000. Can someone please advise what i need to do to the settings to open up the older version.

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

Kind regards,

Tess

What error do you get? I have both versions and am able to open 2000 apps with 2007.

Me, too...
Check and see if there is an .ldb file associated with the 2000 mdb. If there is, delete it & try again.

Hi Paul and Genom,
Thank you for responding.
There is no .ldb file saved.
This is what comes up when I try to open the 2000 database in 2007

Open File-Security Warning
Do you want to open this file?

I select open and that database window is there but the switchbaord doesn't load. This is the message that comes up after clicking open:

The expression On Click you enterred as the event property setting produced the followi error: The expression you entered has a function name that Microsoft Office Access can't find. *The expression may not result in the name of a macro, the name of a user-defined function, or (Event Procedure. There may have been an error evaluating the function, evern or macro.

The databse is not loading correctly and there's no switchboard. I would appreciate your help to resolve this.

Regards,
Tess

Well Tess, I just got ACC2K7 last week and am still learning how to navigate thru the new "ribbon". There is a down arrow at the top that you can right-click on at the top right that will give you access to seccurity features.
I disabled some & haven't had too many probs, but am still messing with it. Getting ready to sleep now here in Wisconsin - if you have no love with that, post back.
