opening new window while drill down

Hi All,
I want to open a new window while drill down.
actually i have a bar chart and whenever user clicks on some bar i want to open the details into another window so the user will be able to see both the data simulteneously.
I am really strucked up and really need help. Thanks for any suggestions.
