Opening Multiple Drawings

OK, this should be an easy one but for the life of me I can't find it. We've got a user here that is opening several drawings at the same time but instead of all in the same session it's opening each one of them in different sessions. I'm assuming it's a checkbox or variable but looked in options and the help and can't find anything.

Anyone know how to make drawings open by default in the same session? BTW, we're using v2008.

The system variable you're after is SDI.

Hmmm... not sure I remember that one and it isn't listed in the help anywhere. Doing a search in help returns Extract Block Attribute Data.

I am not sure about 2008 but...

Look in <Assist menu - Optons - System tab, Single Drawing compatibility mode. Deselect the box.
