Is it possible to open InDesign CS2 in CS (I work on CS2 at work and CS at home)? If not, how do I save in CS2 so that I can open it in CS?

Please help!

The CS2 help files explain this.

You must export INX from CS2 and load in a fully patched CS1. CS1 should be version 3.0.1 (build 838).

Conversion between application versions is never perfect so this should not be a regular practice.

The license for CS2 is for two machines with one user. If you have not installed on a second machine at work, you might want to install CS2 on your home machine.

As for INX format, make sure that you download the latest 3.01 build. Adobe did not change the number but issued another update in April, 05. You need this particular update to import INX

Using OSX 10.3.8 on a G4

Verify the license (EULA) that your employer uses before following jmgalvin's advice about installing on a second computer. His advice applies only to users of single seat licenses of InDesign - - - but it may not apply if your company uses site licensing.
