Opening files

when I'm opening files in any program, I can't arrange files by modified date, there's just Arrange by Duration. Album name and so on, no matter which folder i'm in.

Try changing the "view type" first:

1.) Open any folder.
2.) Click "View", then click "Details".
3.) Now, you should be able to sort by the different fields.

Look under view/ "choose details" don't confuse it with "details". There are two mentions of "details" you want the "choose details" tab.
