Hi,

I have a win2000 pro server running various applications that produce error log files. One in particuler is now around 1.8gb!! This is now to big for any application to open as pc freezes when trying to do so.
Other than deleting this (which I am sure I am able to do but would like to keep certain error details) how can I open this without having to see all of it ie. like tailing in UNIX? And other than checking regulary (which I now do at alarming regularity) is there a way of setting a files size maximum limit at which point a backup is created or some other solution??
Any suggestion gratefully recieved.
