I am using an HTML front end for Mame arcade box I am
making. How can I make IEEE open files with my HTML front
end without it asking if I want to open or save it?
Windows help says this can't be done if you are trying to
open an .EXE, .COM or .BAT file. It does not give you the
option to uncheck the box that says not to ask anymore.
I'm thinking you can get around this and I'm hoping
someone can tell me. This computer will not have internet
access so I am not worried about security.

Thanks again

As long as you are on a single machine (Non networked or controlled), there is an option below which says "Alwaus ask when this...", just ensure this is NOT ticked.

If you are on a network, it may have been the policy of the Network Administrator to restrict this feature, for security reasons. In which case, there should be a registry key to block it. Ask me if you need this.

Let me know if you need any more Help.

Thanks Fatman, but like I said in my first post,
when you are clicking a hyperlink that is linked
to a .COM, .BAT or .EXE file IE WILL NOT GIVE YOU
THE OPTION TO UNCHECK THE BOX THAT SAYS ALWAYS ASK.
The option is greyed out so you cannot uncheck it.
Even Windows Help says that this option is NOT available
for those file types. I am trying to figure out a way
to get around that. I'm sure there is a reg edit or
something that can be done.

Thanks for trying though but I did research it a little
before I just up and posted here for advice.
