Opening excel using VB

I have an open file dialog box which, when a certain file is selected, the application associated with the file will launch, and the file will be opened. It's working fine except for Excel files. Does anyone know why this would be happening?

Call ShellExecute(0&, "Open", sExcelFile, vbNullString, vbNullString, vbNormalFocus)

If that still does not work you could try automation
