I have Windows 98. I don't have Excel. When I tried to instal the Excel viewer, the download screen flashed on and off, and crashed my computer. This has happened twice. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

The viewer is only compatible with Windows 2000 and beyond. Sorry. Read the system requirements here:

You could upgrade your OS or check out OpenOffice.org; I believe it works with Win 98, but I'm not sure (it's been a while since I've used that OS).

Thanks Zack. It might be easier for the person who has sent me the Excel attachment to convert it to Microsoft Word. Would this be difficult to do? And how would they do it?

Thanks again

Either that or a CSV (Comma Seperated Values) file where you can open it up with Notepad. I would try the OOorg though, it's probably your best bet.
