We have some shared calendars on our Exchange 5.5 Server. For some reason, one of the calendars appears to have become corrupt. I can open the other folders in that mailbox, but when I open the calendar from any PC it freezes Outlook. No error messages, just freezes. This only started recently.

I ran scanpst.exe (the Inbox repair tool), checked Technet and still no luck.

Any help would be appreciated.

Kevin.

OK, so I'm answering my own post. I figured out how to resolve this issue and thought I'd let you know. Here's how:

1 - Export all calendar items to a PST. Exit Outlook.
2 - From DOS, open exchng32. Delete the calendar. Exit exchng32.
3 - From DOS, type 'Outlook /resetfolders' to recreate your calendar. It's now blank.
4 - Within Outlook, copy the messages from your PST back into your calendar a few at a time. When Outlook freezes, you have just copied in the corrupt entry. Follow steps 2-4 again, and don't import the corrupt calendar entry.

Problem resolved. Phew!
