This is a bit of a lame question, but I'm hoping somebody will be kind enough to help me.

I'm very very new to C++, and I am trying to write an application that will quite simply open internet explorer (preferably in full screen mode), and display a particular web page.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Perfect!
Now however, I have realised just how lame I am at getting to grips with C. Here is what I'm trying to do, and by the way, I am a complete beginner:

I use to use the Channel Screen Saver that came with internet explorer within my offices. When activated, the screen saver would display a news ticker we page. When you clicked on one of the news items in the ticker, the channel screen saver would close, and IE would then open the link that was clicked on. The Channel Screen Saver does not come with XP though, and it is a real pain.

So far I have written an App that when the Screen Saver activates, it runs IE with a particular URL. This seems to work fine, although I have found sometimes that my app is sometimes still running as a process, even though it has finished, or when the screen saver has been terminated (by a mouse click), my IE window is still there, and then another one shows up if the screensaver kicks in again. Sorry for waffling here!!

I know screensavers are not the best thing to start with when trying to learn a language like C, but I could really do with some Newbie assistance on this. If anybody know of sample source code for a range of screensavers and other simple examples, that would be great - Alternatively, if anybody has any suggestions for an alternative to the Channel Screen Saver, that would be just as good!

Many thanks in advance for anyone who is able to help, and many thanks to Leibnitz for your previous post.
