When I go into a user's exchange properties, and click on advanced, then under "open these additional mailboxes" and click add to bring up the Add Mailbox dialog box it states the following message " The Name could not be resolved. The action could not be completed."
If I try the same thing on the same computer but with my account, which I am in the domain admins group it works fine. I added a user to the domain admins and it worked fine. I am not sure if it is a permissions issue because if I use the file menu and click open other user’s folder, and add there calendar that way it works fine. How can it be a name resolution issue if it can resolve names and mailboxes fine when profiling a user? It is only when I use the Add additional mailboxes features. Any ideas?

Thanks

Luis

does the user have windows 2000? give them admin access localy on that PC then try it
does this help?

I would guess it's a permissions issue. Using the File ... Open Other Users folder method will only work for the default folders (inbox, calendar, contacts etc) and the user can set this up via Delegate Access.

If access to all folders is needed that you can add (as an example) a secretary account to a managers and give it full mailbox access. She will then be able to add her managers mailbox into outlook and have full access to all folders.

Thanks for the info. I will give this a try. I tried adding the user as an admin on the local pc. No luck. Will see what I can do. Thanks
