We have established a database using Access 97 and have opened it in SQL Server 7. For some reason it has changed the primary keys that were set. When the data type is changed to 'Unique identifier' the following error message occurs:

"Conversion from 'int' to 'uniqueidentifier' is not supported on the connected database server"

Any suggestions as to ways of overcoming this problem would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Tom Barrand

You should keep the fields as Ints but check the autonumber box and right click to set the field as a primary key.
