Opening a Word doc via .exe file on PC

Hi,

I have my flash movie so that buttons open up and load PDF's and movie clips, but when I click the button to load a word file i get a 'the settings on this PC dont allow for this file to be downloaded' yet it works fine on the Mac? I have tried this on numerous PCs and get the same message, has anyone else experienced this or know as to why it happens? I just cant get the word file to open on a PC.

Check the Security settings in the Browser. .doc's are probably not permitted.

No I have read a few mails about the batch file can you give me a brief description of what this is. i have books galore on flash but can not find about batch files. I am however using Flash 5?!

Im also using a Mac, which Im sure complicates the matter further!

Batch files are for Windows. Equivalent is AppleScript files on Mac.

But Flash 5, on Mac... You've got me there!
