When I attempt to load (open) a web with Front Page, it will ask me for my
User name and Password, I enter both correctly, and it bounces back to
the same screen (asking me for UN & PW). It will not retrieve
anything. I attempt to load (open) a single page within the folder and
the same thing happens. I have reinstalled Front Page just to make sure that it was not corrupted.
Same thing happens!

Now here is the interesting part: I have another PC here and I
installed Front Page for the first time on it, and attempted the same
process, same results! I can however retrive a file copy
for read only operations but I cannot make any
changes. If I attempt to make any changes it says I am unauthorized to
perform this operation. Hope this helps.

I had another person from a different location attempt this using my UN & PW it worked just fine

The request for username and password is from the your web server, not Front Page. Be sure that you are entering BOTH in the proper CASE. I use Front Page to access my web server abd it is very picky about CASE, even in the username.

If you're still having priblems, here's some ideas:

I've recently been investigating something similar to this and numerous calls to MicroSoft support eventually solved the problem, which was due to permissions (Security) settings. The pcs here were NT workstations in a workgroup (not a domain) and hence had to look into NTFS permissions. We wanted to publish a web from pc 1 to pc2, and couldn't until pc 2 had permissions changed allowing pc 1 to do this.

Anyway, there's an article (Q194482) on MS site which may be of use:

If you still have no joy, then get back to this list with the operating system on each of the pcs, what server is on each (FP PWS/MS PWS/Peer Web Services) and FP 98 or 2000.

But hopefully it's sorted already!
