Occasionally when some of my databases are opened, I am shown the error message "Unrecognized Database Format", or "Not a Valid Bookmark." Any ideas how to stop this?

You have to make sure you open the database in the version that it was created. If you are running 2000 you will get the option to convert the database. If you have 97 on your machine try and open it with that.

Another thing comes to mind, are you running the database on a network?

hi,
This might be all of the problem stated by my friends , but there might also be the problem with the database corruption. This might occure when 2 or 3 people trying to access the database and try to read and write to it.
you can fixed the problem by going to the site Prashu

The database was created and used only in Access 97. It is created by me and then viewed across a network by other users, who are all adding data to various records, but not in anyway changing the design of the database.
