OpenEdge 11.0.0.002 cannot read progress.cfg error -1???

I installed the Linux 32bit version on UBUNTU 10.4 in a VM Player 4.0.2 and it worked out of the gate but now is giving me this error message anytime I attempt to run any of the executibles.

Anyone have any ideas on what this is complaing about?

Been struggling with this for 2 weeks ... and finally found the answer ... the PROCFG environ variable was pointing at a file called product.cfg instead of the progress.cfg file.
