Is there a way to use OpenDoc or another similar function to schedule a report rather than open it to view?

AFAIK, you can't use OpenDoc for this. However, there are ways to do this using the SDK that comes with BOE. Is your website .NET or Java?

A computer only does what you actually told it to do - not what you thought you told it to do.

Java, I would be interested to find out. I figured out how to schedule the report via a link, with the exception of being able to send the parameter values to the schedule page for the report, so I got a bit closer, but would still be interested in the info you have. thanks!

Unfortunately, all of my sample code is in C# - I haven't really worked in Java. There are some tutorial programs available here:

Click on BusinessObjects Enterprise SDK and then on Java Developer Guide.
