I know this is a FreeBSD forum... but there isn't an OpenBSD forum... and the two are similar.<br><br>Did anyone grab the latest openSSH from <A HREF=" TARGET="_new"> ?<br><br>I did... and I'm hoping someone can help with an install question:<br><br>In order for OpenSSH to install... it requires OpenSSL to be installed first...<br><br>I installed the OpenSSL binary like this:<br><b># rpm -i openssl-0.9.5a-1.i386.rpm</b><br><br>Then rpm - queried it like this:<br><b>[root@blah openssh-2.1.1p1]# rpm -qa¦grep openssl</b><br><font color=red>openssl-0.9.5a-1</font><br><br>Then, went through the install of OpenSSH:<br><br><b>[root@blah openssh-2.1.1p1]# tar zxf openssh-2.1.1p1.tar.gz<br>[root@blah openssh-2.1.1p1]# rm openssh-2.1.1p1.tar.gz<br>[root@blah openssh-2.1.1p1]# cd openssh-2.1.1p1/<br>[root@blah openssh-2.1.1p1]# ./configure --prefix=/opt && make && make install</b><br><font color=red>creating cache ./config.cache<br>checking for gcc... gcc</font><br>...<br>...<br>etc, etc...<br>...<br>...<br>and then I get this:<br>...<br><font color=red>checking for OpenSSL directory... configure: error: Could not find working SSLeay / OpenSSL libraries, please install</font><br><b>[root@blah openssh-2.1.1p1]#<br>[root@blah openssh-2.1.1p1]# rpm -Uvh ~rich/openssh/openssl-0.9.5a-1.i386.rpm </b><br><font color=red>package openssl-0.9.5a-1 is already installed</font><br><br>Would anyone know if I am missing something here?
