Hi everyone,

I am just wondering if it is possible to open a Word or PDF document from Access and have it display a specific page based on criteria from within the code? So if the code specifies that page 30 should be opened, can it launch the appropriate application and display page 30 specifically?

Thanks for any help!

I wish I knew more about hyperlinks... Somehow in the sub adrress you can specify how to go to a specific place in the document. If you look that up, you could write code to build a hyperlink that will do it and then use the Follow method to follow the hyperlink.

In Access you set the hyperlink to a string like this...

<Display Text>#<Address/URL>#

Note that the # symbol separates the values.

I also am assuming I have remembered the order of those hyperlink pieces right.

Hopefully this works out. Either way, post back with your results.

Thanks very much lameid. I'll look into what you suggested and post back how I make out!
