Open TCP Connection and get data

I need to open a TCP connection to an IPAddress:portNumber, send STX,T,ETX and write the returned data into a text file. PowerShell is a candidate for the platform due to pipelining as the data needs to do other things.

Simple request, and all the examples I find are way more complicated than I need. Any simple suggestions?

PS - STX,T,ETX can be sent as HEX 02 2C 54 2C 03. I don't know how to send STX and ETX in ASCII.
