I'm using proteus at the minute which I hate as it's always failing. Do you guys know of any decent free smdr collection utilities? Preferabley ones that can export to a sql db??

Cheers

Hi, how do you collect the SMDR data, via the printer port or through an IP port?

I've been contemplating writing something that would use access but sql commands to execute search param's.

Another thought was to make it webbased, but...

Anyhow let me know.

Jim

It's just via a smdr port at the min. Am so sick of paying for proteus "support" when their product and the support is terrible!!

I hear ya, The system delivers perfectly space delimited data, so to load it into a .mdb file would be a snap.

A front end could be written in VB using SQL commands to grind for data.

I use a diff product at work and considering how many options it has I cannot find the most basic and simplest of data boggle my mind.

Let me slap some code and see what it looks like.

If you can, post your smdr output, I'll be basing the basics from my sx200

Thanks!

Jim
