Hello,

I have created a tracking database in Access 2010, called Legal Plan Tracking. I have a client list and subsequent form called Client Details.

When you open the Client Details form it has all the information, client name, address, email address, etc. I have created a command button which says "Email". I want to be able to click this button and have it open a blank email in Outlook but prefill the client's email address.

I am having a hellaofa time trying to get this work. Help please!

I have an FAQ faq705-7446 which explains how to create an email from access into outlook.

I also have a much more robust FAQ in the making, so be sure to look out for it.

If you email me from my FAQ , I can let you know when the EmailWrapperII FAQ has been released.

You can also just store the email in a field type "hyperlink" and clicking on the email address will launch the local mail client automatically. Just a thought with much less programming.

In the Click event procedure of the button:
FollowHyperlink "mailto:" & Me![email address control]

Hope This Helps, PH.
