I've searched for several hours on Tek-Tips and Google to no avail. All I'm looking to do is click a button to open Outlook and go to a particular Calendar view. I can't seem to find out how to do this. All I can find are references to Lebans and some other calendar add-ins. Again, all I want is to create a button on a form... so the user can click it (hyperlink - sorta) then Outlook opens if not already open, then in Outlook the view changes to a specified Calendar (it's a group calendar vs. personal) and directly to the today's view. (vs. weekly/monthly view). Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance,

Hi, snayjay,

Here's a link that might get you started:

Not exactly what you're trying to do, but at least shows you how to instantiate the Outlook object.

Here's a link with info and examples about the .Activate method, which you could use with the Explorer object:

Have a look also at the View object and the Views and ViewType properties.

HTH,

Ken thanks for replying... I started getting a headache about halfway down the first link you sent me. Why does Microsoft insist on explaining everything like we all have programming degrees. Anyway, a buddy of mine, popped his head in and after laughing at me he explained all I had to do was type in the hyperlink address property

outlook:file path/file name

For example, I used:

outlook:\\Public Folders\All Public Folders\KADENA\18MSG\18LRS\LRC\LRC Calendar

That's what I call simple... wow, can I give myself a star for answering my own question on this forum.

I'll probably still fully look into your links though... might be more useful tips out there. Thanks again!
