Open Office Document from Hyperlink

I am linking to a few databases using basic html, but when you click the link to one of the Access databases, it will prompt you to open/save, is there any way to override this option so that it automatically opens the database using the appropriate app, i.e. Access.

depends on how the client MIME Types are set up, nothing can be done from the server side if you pass a standard .DOC or .MDB file.

The mime type is set to open the DB using Access, but it opens two instances of Access??
