Open New Window

I can't open a page in a new window. Right clicking on a link and selecting this option does nothing. Javascript functions that do this just error. I've installed 3 different versions of IE and their service packs, checked all the security and advanced settings, and re-registered the following DLLs: actxprxy.dll shdocvw.dll urlmon.dll.
Any ideas?

You could hit ctrl & N to open a new window, but this is not much help if you want a particular link to be opened up in that window. I suppose you could click on the link once the window has opened?

I'm using Internet Explorer 5.5 on a Windows 95 machine and the right click <open new window> works. What IE is your computer running?

Some websites like

http://www.iname.com

and some others and not allowing right clicks, it is a simple javascript program running in the browser. If you change the security settings to a higher level this should stop........

This is known MS bug. Read this article. The proposed resolution didn't help me, but it might help you:
