open New Window

What's the best way to open a fully functioning new window? I used to use window.open('url','',''), but I've received complaints that it doesn't work on all systems correctly. Anybody know a good method for this?

this will explain one of the big problems faced when not doing popups correctly. At the same time it will show you a decent way of doing things right.

In the meantime an easy way to do a popup is :
