In Acrobat Reader 5.0 CE, when I try to open 21-th document, first open document is authomatically closed. How to increase this limitation? We need 31 file to be open at a time.

Try installing Acrobat Reader 6, see what it does.

Also, incase its a memory issue try to have nothing else running.

The same, only additional warning is output.
We need especially Reader 5.0 CE - some Java features have disappeared in 6.0
This is not memory issue - it is internal Adobe limitation. One says in Acrobat 4.0 there was .ini file with this setting possible to manage - 5.0 has it no more.

Did some reading, found the thing you were talking about with the ini file in acrobat 4. Dont see any useful ini or registry entry with windows that let you set a maxopenfile. Everyone else trying to accomplish the same thing you are seem to be SOL.

What exactly are you trying to do, maybe there is another way of accomplishing what you are doing?

Thank you for help.

Other way could be to remember status of each file buttons and controlls and restore tem after user have reloaded the file.
