Open links in OWA via Cisco WebVPN

I'm having a problem with users being able to open links sent to them via email when they are using OWA via the Cisco WebVPN on a VPN 3005 concentrator. When you click on the link, a window opens, but it can't connect. You get an error page from the WebVPN that says:

Unable to connect to server

http://www.domain.com.

Reason: peer closed.

Anyone else experienced this and found a solution? The link it initially tries to open is

https://vpn.MyDomain.org/https/0/Ex...w.domain.com/technology/products/widget.html;

however, it fails.
