I like to open Internet Explorer in maximized full screen pages. I know that IE will remember the last size when I close it.

I want to put shortcut pages of Yahoo, hotmail, et al on my desktop and have them open in full screen, as well. For some reason, when I create a shortcut page from IE, the page always open in partial size, even if I resize it to full screen and close it.

Maybe it's the way I create the shortcut. What steps do I need to follow to get full screen/maximized shortcut pages for Yahoo. thanks.

There is no property sheet that allows you to set this option for internet shortcuts.

Workaround: Windows remembers the last screen size but not if you use the maximize icon at top right.

Open a webpage. Stretch it out to fullsize by using your mouse to drag the top, right, bottom, and left borders; don't use the maximize button!

Now choose any link on that webpage and right-click> open in a new window. Stretch that second window out to the desired size as you did the first window earlier - and don't use maximize.
Close the first IE window with File, Exit. (Do not use the "X" icon at top right unless you hold down the Ctrl key while doing so.) Then close that resized window by either File, Exit or Ctrl+the "X" icon.

To always get a true maximized window, see:
