Open Ident...Port 113 1

Can anyone tell me how to open Port 113 on my firewall as ive been told that this could resolve my mail authentication issue

2) what kernel/ filtering utility are you running?

when someone asks for your username and password, and much *clickely clickely* is happening in the background, know enough that you should be worried.
 
If you are using Sendmail set the following entry to 0 in your sendmail.cf file:

O Timeout.ident=0

That will speed up your connections.

I was told this by my ISP...they already have my username and password so i dont have much to worry about there...unless someone has subclassed my ISP...then i'll have something to worry about.

Which location would i find the sendmail.cf file???
