In a CR report (Version 10 on SQL Server 2000 db) I have a field which is formatted as a hyperlink (to my clients websites).

This works fine but when I run the report in CE, the hyperlink opens in the current browser rather than opening a new one. Any ideas how I'd get it to open in a new browser? Tx Bal

hi
In version 5.0 of IE and later:

1. Navigate to "Tools" > "Internet Options" and click on the "Advanced" tab.

2. Disable "Reuse windows for launching shortcuts" found in the "Browsing" section.

3. Close the browser and reopen it and call the report with the hyperlinks again. The hyperlink reports should now open in a new browser window.

Hi Durango122 - Thanks for your post.

Unfortunately, this won't work for me as the report is distributed company-wide and I can't change everyones browser settings.

Do you know how I'd specify for a new browser to open from within the hyperlink formatted field in my crystal report?

Many thanks.

hi

but send the info to your user to make the changes as needed
