Open GM contact from URL querystring? 1

Hi,

I am new to Goldmine and would like to know if it's possible to open Goldmine and a particular contact from a URL querystring. I have a database driven website that has a bunch of names. I would like a user to be able to click on a name that displays on the site and have it automatically open the Goldmine contact associated with that name. The link that he user clicks would consist of the name in the URL like C:\Program Files\GoldMine\gmw5.exe?Name=Jane Thomas. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Sorry replied in the ContactReview as well, but I think your after something different from what I stated. You looking to get it to go straight to the record in GM rather than to a web page.

You can get GM to play a macro /M:<macro number>

For the macro you'd need to do Lookup>contact and then paste the value eg Control+V your web should place the contact name into the clipboard.
