I have created a form from a query. When I open the form I need to be able to add new records. How do I do this?

from a macro:

Action: openform
Data mode: add

from VB:
DoCmd.OpenForm "formname", acNormal, , , acFormAdd

Open the form in design view. Check the properties of the form itself. Allow Edits should be set to Yes, which is the default. Next, in desing view, create a button and allow the wizzard to work. Just follow the instructions by indicating what it is you want to do.

Hope this helps.
