Working in Windows 98 in every Adobe program we own, we have recently developed a irritating problem. In PageMaker 6.5+, Photoshop 4.0, Acrobat 5.0, and Distiller 4.0, using the keyboard short-cut, Control-O, to open a file, the file/folder listings in the resulting search windows are not in the default alphabetical order. Using Windows, opening My Computer, or Explore, or opening any other Windows icons by double-clicking a short-cut to find files or folders, we see items listed in the default alphabetical order.

How can we get file-open listing back into alphabetical order using Adobe programs? Is this a Windows problem or an Adobe problem?

Thanks! I tried the proceedure in the microsoft article, and preliminary indications are that it worked for the Adobe programs. Make sense? I did not restart yet. We will see.
