hello,
i'm trying to make a page that looks like the ones you get on those free CDs full of software you get with computer mags. I'd like to put some flash animations on it. before the user enters the main page, the question is if he has the flashplayer installed. if he selects yes, the thing goes straight to the first page, if he selects no, then i'd like to autoinstall the plug-in. is that possible in javascript? thanx in advance

javascript will not let you autoinstall anything. you can however detect if the plugin is installed (at least in IE) and then perhaps redirect to a site for the user to download/install
