Does anyone know how to get rid of the annoying Open File Security Warning caused by an "Unknown Publisher".

My users are linking to an executable on a server and are getting this pop-up when they run a particular program.

The publisher is known to us and it seems like we should either be able to disable this message or add the location (IP of server) or software name to an allowed list.

There is no checkbox to allow this particular file to run the next time without this pop-up.

They are using XP Pro SP2 workstations.

Thanks,

Michelle

Isn't there a check box ticked which says "Always ask before opening this file"? Can you uncheck that?

There is no check box but adding the server IP to the local intranet zone as described in KB883260 did the trick.

Thanks.
