open enterprise resource pool option not available

Hello everybody,

I am just starting to use ms project 2003 and I was thinking why is it that the option "Open Enterprise Global", "Open Enterprise Resource Pool", "Import Project to Enterprise" and "Import Resources to Enterprise" are all not available and in gray color.

Hope you can assist me on this.

I don't have Pro on this machine but I think you are using P2003Pro (not P2003Std) and you have not been configured to access Project Server or, you have been configured to access Project Server, but you chose -- during the File | Open process -- to use "My Computer" and then "Work offline" (I *think* those are two two options -- as I said, I don't have PrjPro on this machine) rather than connect to the server.

First of all thanks a lot for responding to my concern.

Yes, I am using 2003 Pro. And yes you are correct that my concern is related (somehow) with connection to Project Server. I have checked the necessary configuration and I can successfully connect to the Project Server. But with all this, I am still unable to use the enterprise feature. Luckily for me, I was able to talked to one of the technical guy here and he was able to identify one bit of detail with regards to connection.

Here it is (just to share to everybody)...

From Tools/Enterprise Options, click on Microsoft Office Project Server Accounts. The default account initially selected was My Computer thereby making me not connected to the Project Server. The URL of the Project Server must be selected as the default so that it will ask for connection everytime that the 2003 Pro is executed.
