Open editable PDF through hyperlink in Excel

I have a microsoft excel spreadsheet in which a lot of PDF file were entered as hyperlink. whenever I click on it, it opens pdf file with Adobe acrobat in an embed mode(read only). however, in some other computers, pdf file can be opened as an editable file. Anybody knows why? and how to make it consistent?
