I am runing Vista and have a gadget on the gadget panel that allows the storage of ICONs to single click start programs. I have an ICON on the panel for a specific Access DB. It starts fine.

One of the features of the pannel is that you can add command line arguments and switches to ICONS. I would like to open my DB with the Bypass option (Shift Key). Does anyone know how to mechanize this with a command line argument or switch.

Thanks,

I'm not aware of any command line switch in Access to start a database as if the Shift key is held down.

I tend to work it the other way around:

Instead of having a startup form I have a startup macro that is called in the command line (using the /x switch). This macro is used to launch what would be the startup form. Users have this shortcut. The developer shortcut simply misses the /x switch.

Thanks Ed2020. It is not the answer I wanted but it is the answer I expected.

I appreciate the response.
