I am trying to run an update that normally takes about 5 minutes but its been running now for about 40 mins - I think there may be a cursor open that is stopping the update - is there a simple way of seeing any open cursors ?

Many thanks for any responses.

You can check to see if anything is blocking via

select * from master..sysprocesses (nolock) where blocked <> 0

Cursors are useful if you don't know sql.
DTS can be used in a similar way.
